holy hella large pics batman i'm happy, it looks alot better IMO! it still needs paint or powder and i need to make a license plate bracket. i'll use the 2 existing holes for the mount. if the license plate light doesnt turn out bright enuf, i'll order 2 of the bolts with lights built into them for the bracket mount. the hole isnt symmetrical, it was hard trying to cut it out using the tools i had around. oh well, when its painted you wont be able to tell anyway.... before... during... finished (accept paint)...

Looks very simple and very clean nice job. I liked the idea of using the clear portion of the taillight for the plate. I am still considering using it instead of a side mount bracket that I fabbed up. |

thanks. i probably could have made it look just a little better. i think once its painted tho, it will look pretty damn good! i'm hoping the clear portion of the tail light will be bright enuf, so i dont have to order the the lighted LED bolts. i left that lip on the back to try and keep as much light focused on the license plate as possible, i might add some sort of reflective paint or mirror or something to the back side, so it will help focus light onto the plate. anyone know why that clear section is there anyway? On my Bolt that was for the plate. I ended up moving my plate down the under tail a bit and painted the clear portion red. Installed a LED pod that works very well. Great job on your mod. Looks good. |
