Just interested to see what ya'll think of this exhaust. I like the way it looks but wanted sound and performance advise from some that have it. Better than the short Jardines or worse???? |

I heard Jardines fall apart. I'm looking for a new exhaust and thats the reason I shied away from it. I also heard the GP-1 would be even more prone to fall apart because of the long exhaust pipe. |

I don't know anyone that has that one. sorry. as for the falling apart issue, it's blown out of proportion. they don't just explode, it's a slow process that starts with the rivets getting loose. the loose rivets tell you that the packing has burned down and the muffler needs repacked. jardine mufflers only "fall apart" on people that don't pay attention to their bikes. |

Can't help with the extender version either but I did have the normal version. I pay special attention to everything on my bike & I got rid of the Jardine as it started to "fall apart" in less than a year (5000 miles). Internal packing was basically gone, internal pipe warped & front / rear caps needed re riveting. Rebuilt it & gave it away. |
