How did this Canadian dealer get the lowdown on the '09 models before the July Dealers Meeting? There has been no leakage of the '09 model line up anywhere else on the web... believe me... I've looked! He was talking with Harley Canada about switching a bike with an other dealer on the first order since he couldnt change his order and the guy from HD Canada told him he couldnt find any xb12s in 09 for the orders he could get everything else but no 12s so thats how he found out HD Canada told him. For the thing about maybe there is some at dealers well he did check all that in front of me and there was one in Alberta but it is sold and here they did sell there last one last week which pissed me off because I know it is my fault for not putting a deposit on it since I hd too much stuff going on but I did tell him I was going to buy it for sure as soon a the financing on my new house was done which it is now, I know they have to work with the deposit to reserve a bike but still I was a little frustrated since I waited to get his black at 11200$ instead of buying a red in Vancouver for 10400$ I know I m stupid and I deserve what is happening to me for waiting for a freakin color. |

They know what models are coming for the first quarter. We got our list last week. There is nothing new listed... and after checking, I did not see a XB12s in the bunch, but then again we didnt order any either (we didnt order any XB12Rs either) I hate to say it gang but we order what sells for us. ITS the CityX (duh wonder why) The ULY, The Blast and the new XT. We will dealer trade to get anything else that the customer may want. |

Cityxslicker, my dealer didnt have any on order for the first quarter either but with HD Canada they looked to make a switch with an other store since where I m buying it is the biggest buell dealer on the Canadian east coast and they couldnt find any in Canada and then they looked down the states and it was the same thing so thats where they came to the conclusion that the xb12s no longer exist, which like said before is weird since they are keeping the Scg |

I wouldn't get too down on yourself for waiting for a specific color. They only make them in a few colors in the first place and then it's YOU that has to live with it, so you better get it right! |

Not really weird, it is in line with what the mother ship is doing, they cancelled the XL883R last year, the XL1200R this year (09) and the XL883 (standard height) is gone for (09) as well. It seems they are keeping the "short" bikes and getting rid of the tall standards. |

Well then I guess it will be a Scg, but I saw a black Ss today, it was parked beside my drz abd damn it still looked small compare to my bike and it was nice too in black compare to the orange I tried |

Told ya! My Ss looks small even when it's parked with 600cc sportbikes. Just the seat is up higher than their's, that's all. |

Ss is what, only 2" longer than the standard S? |

I know it is only 2 inch longer but there is some little things I prefer on the S like the shape of the tail and seat on top of the radical geometry. I had made my decision of going with the cg but my dealer is testing me right now because he has to get it from an other dealer he said he couldnt do the same deal since it will cost him more to get it so tomorrow I will tell him I want the cg with the same deal or close and if he sais no I will tell him I will get it directly from the other edaler since its only 2 hour away. My only problem with that is im not sure the other one will take my drz in trade in where the one here do. The deal wasnt that big anyway he was selling the bike msrp plus all the prep and handling charges but he was giving me a set of black plastics and not charging the installation of the jardine but was charging 450$ for the pipe |

yep, and that two inches translates into a bigger gas tank (4.4 v 3.8) and more passenger room, and a more stable ride at long freeway straights, and for the taller riders we find they have more comfortable sit to them. Its a good thing if those all make sense to you |

I rode 'em all and they look so similar it's hard to tell the differences. The Ss is way better if you plan to use it for any appreciable distance riding. The pillion is so comfortable that your passenger doesn't even need to hold onto you... they can just use the strap. |

Well yes it comfy and it as more fuell but I only have a 30 inch inseem so even if Im 5 feet 10 it doesnt do anything to me if ther is more leg room, passenger well the wife doesnt ride except for the odd time to please me so I dont see the advantage for me there. Im not saying totally no to the Ss but for now I think Ill get the cg since it is the closest to the S I always wanted |

With a 30" inseam, the cg with a Select seat will feel like a perfect fit Get rid of the low seat ASAP unless your rides are under 100 miles because after 100 miles it is like a board. |

Yeah thats my plan to get either a regular s seat or something else and get black plastics since it is orange and I cant stand the translucid plastics it remind me of the 80s bad taste with the coke clear and everything else that went that way |

I heard the TT is discontinued in '09 due to poor sales and there will be 2 new models based on the 1125 platform. My guess is a Lightning and some sort of touring version which would then give Buell a sportbike, a streetfighter and a tourer to start the expansion of the water cooled line and the eventual discontinuation of the air cooled line. Only changes for all remaining '09 air cooled models is color. I'm still an airhead so I just bought one of the last few '08 TT's for $8700 out the door. It's a screamin' deal that I couldn't pass up and it's my 10th buell. For any TT fans there are tons of '07 TT's sitting in dealer's showrooms begging to be sold. I located about 35 in a 5 state region. I chose the '08 for the improved Thunderstorm motor. We'll all know the truth in 17 days. |
