Yep. I've got a case of notchy steering. Anyways I've narrowed it down to the bearings/race needing replaced. What bearing puller/press do you recommend? The manual lists a harley part number but would like something a little more universal for future use. Any tips would also be appreciated. (Message edited by kowpow225 on July 07, 2008) |

All you need is a brass punch and a hammer. If you look close you will see two small cut-outs in the frame 180 degrees away from one another. Work them out slowly and evenly and you will have no problem. Just remember to check your gorilla strength at the door. While we're on this subject. Has anyone been able to find a non-Buell replacement for these bearings ? (Message edited by skinstains on July 08, 2008) |

Yeah, I've also heard there is a timken bearing kit that the tubers use. Anyone know for sure? |
