So I became aware of XB's in 2003 roughly. Wanted to buy one in '05...and finally did in late '07. In that time I saw maybe 10 on the road. Flash forward to this spring. I have seen at least 20 in the last few months. All over town...in the mountains...old ones...new ones. Heck...last weekend I even saw 4 in one day...and managed to talk to two of them. A couple of Ulysses even...after I had remarked the week before the I had yet to see one. So what is it.....are our bikes attracted to each other in some form of cosmic brothership? |

I think you may be on to something.... I was the only one in my town that I knew of having a Buell for the last few years. Suddenly, I can think of four or five off the top of my head. Something to think about.... Rich |

I know I can pretty much say for all that when your out riding and come across paths with another buell, my arms go up and I suddenly get this rush. Ha Ha BUELL! |

maybe it's that you never really "see" motorcyclist until you are one... and if you did see a buell you'd maybe say "look, there's that new BMW i've heard about" i said maybe |

I never saw many Subarus on the road till I bought one myself. I think once you own a particular vehicle you become more aware of their presence when you'd never seen them before (just part of the background scenery). |

I know Bumpus in Murfreesboro is selling Buells like hotcakes. The 1125R has brought a lot of intrest into Buell motorcycles. Last time I talked to the Buell salesguy he said he couldnt keep enough Buells in because of the gas mileage they get . GO BUELL!!!! |

I have to agree with Jaimec a little bit, but I have had my bike since 03. They just started popping in here lately. |

The day I picked mine up I passed 3 other Bolts riding together. I wish I knew who they were. I've seen a few Buells around here lately...but no one I know. |

I saw a guy on a Ulysses yesterday. I have had mine since September and that was the first Buell I saw on the road during that time. IT is neat to see. |

The answer to that question is a resounding YES They also attract some undesirable characters! Also, look at my profile pic and tell me if they attract each other |

Buell is a growing company and the brand is becoming more and more visible on the road.... But...any time you buy a new vehicle you instantly become more aware of the others like it when you're out and about. It has happened with every single car or bike I've ever owned. There is something to the idea of Buells being attracted to other Buells though, take a look around the Milwaukee/East Troy area this weekend and you'll see mass numbers of Buells congregating, and they do the same thing every year! This is my third consecutive Homecoming, and I highly recommend anyone that really loves Buells come out for it. The people are just as much or even more fun than the events. I love looking at what the other Buell riders have done to make their bike the "perfect" Buell (for them). The engineers pay close attention to owner modifications and some show up on the next model....or even inspire a new model (Like Steve_Mackay's Uly-Bolt and the XT that followed) |

Hmm I'm still one of the only Buells in my area that I know of. I have a coworker with the XB9sx, I have a 08 12R, I saw another Bolt a couple days ago and one last night leaving the stealership, theres a chick in a different city with the 12S, and one pre XB Buell. |

Ive also been seeing alot more buells in the middle tn area this year. Also more people seem to be interested in and love to look at and listen to my bike than ever before. I bought it new in 06 but all of the sudden this summer people seem to swarm it and ask all kinda questions and decide they want one on the spot! I took it to a bar last nite and probably spent 75% of the time I was there outside in the parking lot answering questions about why it sounds like that (thanks Odie!) and where they can get one. And even had to take a smokin hot little 20 yr old blonde for a ride around town and made plans to go for a longer ride soon (thanks Erick!) All you single guys always carry an extra helmet its worth it! haha |

I have to agree. I have also seen more Buells lately. Something must be in the water around here. I have three bikes that I normally ride to work. But on the days I ride the STT, I will always get caught up in a discussion about it. They ignore or sneer at my Jap bikes as I leave. The Buell always draws a friendly conversation though. God I love this bike! |

I think there is definitely some cosmic karmatic connection between buells. We occasionally get out to a local bike nite and more times than not, especially in the cooler months, if I take the city x, there will be at least one other Buell there. One night there were actually four of us. No badwebbers though But, out of 150 bikes, in the land of 11 curves in 318 miles, 4 Buells randomly converging in one spot is pretty good. |

I have only seen one Buell in person before I bought mine last week and then on the way home from work yesterday I passed by a house that had a bike parked around back. All day I kept thinking to myself, "that bike looked like a Buell". So today I hopped on my bike and drove over there and sure enough, another XB9R less than 5 miles from my house. And what really sucks, its the same color as mine. Going to stop by and introduce myself this weekend, may be a new friend |
