Need to vent... All I want to order is a kickstand kit for my '04 XB12S, part number L1167.02A8. IF you are a BadWeb sponsor send me a PM and I will be glad to order it from you. I called 2 of the sponsors on here; one told me to email in an order and they would get back to me, the other wouldn't take my order over the phone because I live in PA and they are in Florida and have no way of knowing if I am who I say I am. ????? Whatever. So IF you want my business AND have the part in stock - what good is Buell without a kickstand. I can get it backordered at my local dealer. We can do some business. |

The kit retails for about $64, it includes a new kickstand "arm", pivot pin and clip. This will be the 2nd time I will have to replace the original pivot bolt. Fortunately, both times it has broken I was able to catch it before dumping the bike. I don't sit on my bike with the kickstand down. I do start the bike and let it warm up while putting my riding gear on. So far I have 1 lead to a non sponsor.....(thanks for the tip, I may just end up calling them on Monday-don't know if they have the part on hand or not) According to Ratbuell at Frederick HD/B there are none to be had in PA or MD. So much for basic tip over parts. sigh. Sure would have been nice to go to Buell.com and order the part....guess that is asking too much. |

+1 on Al @americansportbike.com. I think they are away for a short while (info is on their web-site) but ordering from them couldn't be easier. |

Which dealer in florida? I'm close to Space Coast Harley. If it's them, I may be able to help you out. |

Maybe you could get lucky and your local dealer has just the bolt for 3 bucks.. That's what happened to me? |

Ted, I have one on the shelf here. We ARE closed, the family is in Norway, I'm here burning the midnight candles doing a bunch of IT and facility maintenance for 1.5 weeks before heading off to homecoming. If no one can come up with one for you on the shelf, post your phone number here and I'll give you a call. I'm not answering the phone or taking web orders during this downtime, so we'd need to talk offline to make it happen. Al |

Which dealer in florida? Seminole Buell. Ownership has apparently pulled the plug on the stand alone Buell store/parts and is taking everything back under one roof. Even though they are still listed as a BadWeB sponsor, they said they are no longer a sponsor....oh well. I'm guessing Blake is just doing what his contract w/ Seminole has him do. They paid, he runs the banner. Their choice to "pull the plug". |

Cityxslicker was the first to contact me that was a sponsor, Legends HD/B. He will be getting a call from me on Monday. Re: Just replace the bolt. I got the last bolt in PA the last time it broke. That I know of, there are no more around-I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time. My thought is, I've already replaced the original factory installed bolt because it broke, I now need to replace the "replacement bolt" because it broke. I'm figuring that there are a lot of smarter folks at the factory that redesigned the kickstand because of a design flaw. Now is the time to replace it with the "latest/greatest" so I don't find my bike laying on the ground the next time it (the old style bolt) breaks. |

From what I understand Seminole is having a new Location built and in the mean time they have moved back in with Seminole HD... Logistics wise sales/parts probably changed.. |
