I am changing my rear caliper, pads and rotor in the next week or so. Like the Rear sprocket, should the bolts be replaced also? Hoping not.

Some will say yes some will say no.

Those who say yes will say that your life is in great danger by reusing the bolts. I beg to differ.


basically it is up to you, do you want to change them? If not then don't. It's that simple.


I have had my rotor off a couple of times and haven't changed the bolts yet. Same with my belt pulley.

Cool, thanks. I figure I'll just torque and thread lock em. I dont see why I would need to change them unless they were screwed up somehow.

If they're cheap enough, why not change them too? I'm not sure how much a set is, but if you're speanding the coin on brake pads, caliper and a new rotor, what's another 10-15 bucks?
