At this time last year speculation was rampant on the new models that were coming. Numerous threads were maintained and everyone was anticipating huge changes on the XB platform and a first look at the 1125R. Fast forward to today and I have yet to see any comments on what offerings BMC has in store for 2009, either the XB or the 1125R. Has anyone heard anything on the 2009 models? |

More colors for the 2009 1125R, A naked 1125R and a Cafe Racer 1125R (hopefully Old School) And I heard this from an unimpeachable source......... |

A firebolt headlight fix for 2009? A real headlight fix? Or am I asking for too much? |

The cop Uly is the only 09 Buell i've seen so far. http://www.fasterandfaster.net/2008/05/2009-buell- ulysses-xb12xp-police.html Read some speculation about a Rotax powered 125hp Uly. But no info to back it up. |

A carbureted XB12M Cyclone, with standard (non-cartridge, non-upside-down) forks for $9,000.00 Hey, I can dream, can't I? |

I miss the arguing it was entertaining... I think the 1125 stoked our fires and now we are all warm and fuzzy.. My prediction... Two bikes *Naked 1125... *Smaller Version of the 1125 750-800cc, I can see the air cooled fire bolt going away *New bits, Fairings, carbon, etc... BMC for cripes sake fix the new FI my bike needs a stable mate...

I can see the air cooled fire bolt going away I don't. I see more Bolts than any other Buell on the road. I hope they don't get rid of it, It's my favorite Buell. |

Sales wise lightnings are better sellers thats why there are 5 offered and only 1 bolt left I love the bolt......... Sales wise a Update or a added Bolt with a Rotax motor, water or air cooled would make sense.. I think BMC with a bike should go after the potential people who would buy a 600cc sport bike.. That's a big Ole apple to take a bite out off.. Rumor mill, the company that makes the 1125r has two new frames for buell Two new models or two bikes getting new frames TT might go away.. |

If they do make a lower displacement 1125R that puts out a just a little more hp than the 12R then there won't be much of a reason to keep the firebolt. Especially if they were able to tighten the geometry of the smaller R to be similar to the 'bolt. The aircooled engines are perfect for the lightning and ulysses models so I don't see much use in putting the helicon motor in them. I don't do any offroad riding but wouldn't aircooled be better? Seems that most offroad/dual-purpose bikes are aircooled. |

XB5 . . . . . . . . I mean, really, it would rock. I would buy one -- wouldn't you? A naked/cafe racer type 1125 engined bike would be pretty cool too. |

I think I might be the lone dissenter, but other than the police bike I doubt there is anything else new this year. I bet they focus on quality control this year. |

A naked version of the 1125R would be a good move. Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki all make big HP naked bikes now. Put that watercooled motor in the naked bike like the lightnings :shivvers:. |

That electric bike is nuts. Why don't they try using hydrogen fuel cell or something like that instead of 5000 Li-Ion batteries? I heard those Li-Ion cells can explode easily or something. |

I don't predict much for 2009. they would be stupid not to have a few new colors for the 1125R. and here is a leaked pic for a new color firebolt:
Nah its just a new transformer from Transformers 2. But its nice to see Buell product placement rather than ALL GM products |
