I've just popped in to say hello to you all. I've had my black 9s a month now,and have covered 2,500 trouble-free miles, unfortunatly I got wiped-out by a truck last week and i'm currently waiting on the parts to repair my bike. Untill then I'm going to enjoy reading all the XB related postings.} |

Stoobr2, Good to have you , I am also a new 9S owner, originally from the UK - Norwich, Norfolk, riding a Buell must be fun back there, 210 on a 'Busa ...indicated no doubt...unless it was Turbo'd and running NOx, my max was on the back of a GSX1150...I am sure Suzuki clocks lie Regards Adrian. |

Good to hear that it is only the bike that took a beating! Good luck getting it back together. |

Thanks for the warm welcome I'm ok after my recent accident, just bumps & bruises, the XB has taken it's punishment well, although I have ended-up with a slight dent in the frame on the righthand side ( the rest is just cosmetic (bars/levers/footpeg/mirror). A friend of mine is going to repair the frame damage,if that fails I will fit a new frame (with frame protectors). Then it's back to business enjoying the back roads before the winter sets in and the XB gets laid-up.

If the frame damage is cosmetic only, somebody here was selling carbon fiber covers for the exposed spars that looked pretty good, and would probably be cheaper, better looking, and safer they trying to repare a scrape / dent. If it were me, I would probably just slap some alumafil or similar stuff to give it a little thickness back, and slap on the carbon fibre parts. |

Thanks again for the frame repair info! I've brought some type of aluminium based car body filler and I will use that to add strenght to the damaged area,i've also ordered 2 cans of XB silver spray, when I ordered the other parts to repair my bike,so hopefully the XB will look like new, once my friend the panel beater finishes with it! Like I said after seeing just how easy the XB frames dent at the "high-spot" where your knees are when riding,I will proberly add the protectors anyway. $340 ? I don't know what that is in £'s but I can get the carbon/kelvar frame protectors in the UK for £195 delivered. |

I believe the carbon fiber frame protectors are made by Trojan Horse in the UK. Might be cheaper there than paying for shipping across the pond twice! |

True. If you're already in the UK I doubt Dave's BadWeb discount could make up for the shipping costs. |
