I have my seat coming apart at the staples, I know that this is a common problem. For those that have done the research is it cheaper to have it redone(new leather/better foam) or to buy the Buell touring seat.? |

it would depend. call some local upholstery shops and see what they'd charge do what you want. the nice thing about getting a stock seat redone is you could do something custom. good luck and let us know what you do, and post pics if you do something custom! |

Yeah, you could get a gel pad put in for not too much $. Might be a positive outcome for the problem. |

Umm, I just did a warranty swap -- it is a defect. If you're out of warranty then I would send it to Spencer at http://greatdaytoride.com/Home_Page.php (heck, I would send it to him anyways, stock seats are crap). My .02 |
