what's up guys I just changed my headlight bulbs to piaa's and I just want to know what's the middle plug for.I see it goes to the middle of the headlight housing but what plugs into it. |

Nothing in the USA it's a marker light used over seas. So the plug has no bulb in it USA spec bikes. |

You can do a quick search through the archives and find a bunch of stuff on this. A lot of riders put colored bulbs in that socket to make their lights appear colored. That socket does have continuous power, but also a lot of riders switch the positive wire to that socket with the positive wire to the low beam light. This allows you to have both headlights on at once. If you switch the wires, then that empty socket will only have power when you switch to low beam, meaning you can have the colored bulb on just in low beam mode, allowing you to turn it off when you switch to high beams, and not have to worry about being harassed by the police for having colored headlights. Any color is illegal while riding, but blue and red will almost definitely get you a ticket. |

Yeah, careful on what color light you put in there as it could get you noticed. I would go with yellow or white just to keep the ol ticket happy places off your back. |

so I change my headlight bulbs and put a colored wedge bulb in and I can't tell a difference its only a 5w do they make anything brighter? |

I put the color changing LEDs in mine, looks great with the parking lights on, and you cant notice it with the headlights on. |
