What do you call that thing anyways, a U-bolt? That thing has been on ebay for ever. |

I think it looks pretty cool, actually. Gotta wonder though if it's a frankenstein bike made from a couple wrecked ones... Why else would someone do all that? |

I bid on that bike twice back in September & October - but the reserve was never reached. I called to find out what the stinkin' reserve was and at the time they had it at 7 or 8 grand! I opted for a '04 xb12s for under $4k........ been likin' it ever since! |

Likewise, I called them a month or so ago to find out what the reserve was and the guy told me $8900! I think it will be for sale for many years to come........ |

I love that bike. If it had been in my budget I would have bought it. |

I don't get the Ulysses part. It looks like an XB12Ss with a Firebolt front end and a race kit. Not that big of a deal in my book unless I'm blind to a bigger picture |

Ulysses suspension front and rear. S tail. R front. I like it. |

Uly suspension?? The distance between top fender bolt and bottom of fork tube appears standard R/S distance. May be TT forks at best. Rear shock looks like the Buell Pro series (red spring). I don't see the big preload wheel that the Uly shock has. I have to take another look tomorrow when I'm more awake and the eyes ain't so fuzzy. I'm still not seeing any Uly parts (Message edited by metalstorm on June 05, 2008) |

My bet would be that the frame and motor is from a Ulysses but nothing else is... I had this idea back in 06' right after i bought my Uly... Looks like it would be a fun bike if the price was right... |

collectable trader usually has nice, clear titled stuff at max pricing. i have watched a lot of their auctions never make reserve. never have bought anything from them. tim |
