Ok so I took advantage of that Pirelli tire deal from cycle gear. I got the tires on and my bike know and it handles great. It's awsome how quick it turns in an with such little effort. But it feels like it has a little bounce especially the rear while driving down the road. I adjusted the suspension back to the book spec and that helped a little. Do tires just need to be broke in so they smooth out? Or I'm I missing something. |

What type of Pirelli did you buy? I've had scorpion sync's on the bike since I bought it. They only had 100 or so miles on them before. They stuck like glue then and still stick like glue nearly 5k later. I love them. (Message edited by mr2shim on June 01, 2008) |

Thats what I like to hear. I got the PIRELLI Diablo Supersport. I only put maybe 50 miles on them and they do handle great. |

Did you get them balanced? Mine ran smooth right out of the box. |

I had them installed and balanced at a bike shop. I see weights attached to the rim. |

Remember when adjusting the suspension, little adjustments, one at a time. That being said... Reduce Compression damping (counterclockwise) 1/4 of a turn. If that doesn't quite get it, another 1/4 turn. If that still doesn't get it try the same on the Rebound adjustment. |

Could the tire pressure be a bit low? I wonder what the recommended pressure is for those tires? |

The bike shop had them at 40/40. After riding for a little while I put them at 32F/37R. I think I will put them at 34/36 tomorrow. |

You're on the right track with tire pressure. 40/40 is way too much, I run 34/36. More than that is too hard. |

I run 36/38 Edit: 40/40 is a bit too high (Message edited by glitch on June 01, 2008) |

How did they balance them? I am not a big fan of machine balancing. I like the manual method, it seems to be a lot more precise. |

Mr_GTO, That I don't know. I did make the adjustment to the suspension today and I think it needs some more fine tuning. I also put the tires at 36/38 I'm about 210 lbs so I think I will put them at 34/36 and see how that goes. This does suck because I had it set up how I liked it before the tire. So after some more playing and no luck I will pop them off and get them balanced and see how that goes. |

I have those same tires. I weigh 70 lbs less than you tho so I run mine at 30f/32r They handle freaking great especially compared to the Dunlop 208s |

Well I think I may have gotten this thing set up right. The biggest thing was the Rear preload. After making it one notch stiffer and adjusting the the front a little it seems to be getting dialed in. |
