Man City, that is impressive -- I figured there was a better way to do it. I would be interested in who you go with for what on all of that. Can't wait to pay off my 12R but thats gotta wait for a year or so. |

I purchased dairyland when I first got my bike a month and a half ago. They quoted me 538/yr. They billed me 558/yr. I called twice to figure out what the difference was. I was told I would be called back, but never was. I held on to my forms I had to sign and send back until we had the quote discrepancy resolve. It fell off my radar. Then next thing I knew they had bumped my rates up without telling me to 900/yr. I sent in all my info, but decided I wasnt' too keen on their service. I decided to cancel. their policy states that they remove any discounts before they cancel it so they would not refund me a fair amount. All is well tho because I went to progressive and now I'm paying 287/yr!!! Full coverage 250 deductable. I would not recommend dairyland. they are difficult to deal with. I'd hate to have to have to use them for a claim. (Message edited by xl_cheese on June 09, 2008) |

I just got my 2005 XB9SX insured through Progressive... I'm a homeowner, good driver discounts, etc. and I haggled them down a bit from $179/year to $160/year full coverage, $250 deductable, no roadside assist (AAA), no trailer coverage (what's a trailer for??) I haven't ridden in 6 years about, so I'm happy. Ben |

Try GMAC insurance, tell them you want the "Rider Plan" - (Rider Magazine had some sort of deal with them) I have a bunch of bikes with them, and the Buell (PL/PD only) is $48 a year. Although I'll bet you will pay more - it's one more place to shop. One thing is for certain the Lizard is very expensive compared to GMAC. |

I have the Lizard and am paying close to 900 a year. Needless to say I have begun to shop around for better rates. It's ridiculous. |

I have Dairyland but I deal with Harley-Davidson customer support on all my insurance issues so I talk to people who are very nice and helpful -- wish most of the people at dealerships were as nice as them. |
