50 miles? Huh? My 12R with stock ergos went 1000 miles in two days to get to MBV. Didn't set any records, but I was able to shut up a few people who seem to think you can't tour on a sport bike. I would typically ride out an entire tank of gas before stopping for anything - generally around 130 miles (didn't want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere 50 miles from a gas station with the fuel light on). On those long trips, all I need to do is move my feet from sitting on the balls of my foot on the pegs to the heel. It moves me knee enough, changes the pressure on my foot enough, and changes the pressure on my ass enough to keep going for a long time. I also wear boots that have a hard surface up my shin, which allows me to rest my shins on the pegs and really extend my knees for a bit. I would avoid trying to extend your leg outwards while riding. It feels good at the moment, but everytime I do it, I start to get an intense cramp in my upper/outer quad muscle that is really hard to get rid of while riding. I also had actually thought about sticking a rod through the front axle to act as highway bars, lol. If you had cruise, you could steer with your feet! |

I just stand up if I need to stretch my legs.

The only time I understood some kind of forward control on a sport bike was one of my friend who got into a big crash couldn't bend his left knee completely anymore so to be able to still ride his bike he fabricated a bracket for his left foot to be forward and shift so he could still ride a sport bike . Now that made some kind of sense but other then that I personally think if you can't handle the riding position well the bike is not for you and you should look at an other style of bike. |

No-Rice is there a way to get a closer look at the mounting system of the hybrid you showed that had the forward controls on it. You know it is mine to modify to what I would call the ultimate bike. So far the only thing I am going to make myself is some controls. Sorry to those who I offend. Just don't hate me for my decision. I even like the cheesegrater. |

Sorry to those who I offend. Not offended, just havin fun. Just don't hate me for my decision. I'm no hater. I'm the first to say "to each his own". I even like the cheesegrater. I had mine all the way up until I swapped the tail section for an R tail. It's all good. It'd be shit for a world if everyone were the same. |
