I was wondering if there are any board members in the NW Indiana/Chitown area that have the VSDTS and know how to do a TPS reset, if you're willing to help me out. I don't trust Calumet H-D to touch my bike, and they're the only Buell dealer I know of since Crete quit selling them. I just bought a race pipe and obviously need an emulator or race ECM, and either way need a reset. Thanks in advance! |

Why don't you trust Calumet. The techs really aren't that bad. The salespeople suck most of the time, but I have never had a problem with the techs. They still charge boutique prices though. 7.9 hours for the 10k service @ $75/hr, do the math.... Rich |

Southside HD&B in Indy is charging $560 for the 10k service. Not suggesting you drive to Indy, just giving you a for better or worse reference for another shop relatively in the area. |

Rich, I've never had Calumet do any work, and wouldn't have even bought my bike from there if Crete still dealt in Buell. My buddy has had several run-ins with the service department, namely this one: he dropped his bike off for a service (it's an H-D cruiser, not sure which one), and after 3 weeks he still hadn't gotten a call to pick up his bike. He called in to ask WTF was going on, and they go, "Oh, your bike is here for service?" They hadn't even looked at it in 3 weeks let alone completed the service. The fact that a bike could sit there for 3 weeks without anyone asking why it hadn't moved foretells too much possible negligence, IMHO. I might just drive it up to Chi-Town for the TPS reset since it seems all my fellow Hoosiers are not DIY. |

You've also got a dealership in Lafayette that may be closer to you. |

Yeah, I just noticed that there was a new stealership in Lafayette here a couple months ago while passing through for work. Sorry to here about your friend, Chris. I will usually give any place two chances for me to maintain some kind of loyalty, so to speak. They are people and we do make mistakes. I was just letting you in on my experiences with them. I have yet to have a real problem with them. Just my $.02. BTW- Did you graduate from Portage? What class? Rich |

Chi-Town is no longer a Buell seller or sevicer. Closest may be Shcrefflers- Manteno, Illinois Buell, Berwyn or Conrad's - Joliet all reputable Buell locations going to the west. Why don't you Indiana fellas consider comming to Homecomming with the Windy City Club? |

I have done a little business with the Eagle Harley/Buell and for the most part everything has been great. They are pretty straightforward with you and at least when they have worked on my bike they have been nice on the hours charged for labor. I'd have to check my receipts, but im almost positive they charge .5 hrs to do the T.P.S. Rocky Kokomo, IN |

Eagle is good. Buell of Bloomington is the best in the state as far as I'm concerned though. |
