"Hey, I accept that a 'busa will beat me -- on an airstrip...Good thing we don't ride on air strips, huh?" (this is word for word what I told a dip-tastic neighbor with a 'busa who wanted to "race") yeah, kids love the 12R too -- get waves all the time. kids have good taste. |

Pulled up to a stoplight today and the little girl sitting in her carseat in the back of her mommy's station wagon got all excited and starting waving. I waved back just in time for her mommy to turn and see me. Mommy was HOT! Then mommy smiled and waved too. hehe. |

I stopped to get gas the other morning on the way to work and a guy asked me if I was riding a stunt bike. I'm usually pretty social and just didn't have it in me to pursue that conversation on this particular morning at 5:15. |

My favorite is when OLD SCHOOL biker dudes, not the billet and Harley Brand clothes wearing guys, bum rush you at the gas station with a shi+ eating grin. When you can get a crusty old guy excited about a "Street" bike, you have something. In So. Mississippi I had an old biker come up to me and my old 12R at a gas station, must have been 70, flipping out, putting his hand on his forehead, turning around in dis-belief, and coming back again. "Boy that sounds like a Harley but it don't look like no Harley." I think he would've bought one if he hadn't been so beat up from rigid frames and too many miles. My powder coater buddy is like that. He's probably 60, looooves Buells. He's an old Bandito too. Rough guy. Funny that a 24 year old Sporty rider I know resents Buell so much because it is a "rice rocket" as he calls it. I tried to explain once but he's blinded by the HD shield. |

A lot of the guys who love my bike the most were guys who came up on rigids and choppers. They were hell raisers then like I am now and they can see a little bit of themselves back in the day in me now. I always have to lift the front wheel a little after a talk with one of those guys. Let them know that someone is still out there doing it their way and not giving a rat's ass what anyone else thinks about their bike. On a side note everyone I talk to and ride with loves my bike so I guess I cannot play up the "not caring that people rag on my bike" role cause no one ever does. |

Funny, I was just telling someone about all the reactions I get from Kids on my Trans-Orange Lightning. I have the Orange/Red Icon Mainframe "Dragon" helmet. Kids just breaking their necks everywhere I go to look at the bike. No hot Moms yet..... |

Had a funny kinda morning! I rode my G/Fs 250 ninja today, since my bike is giving me problems, and I need to get a new front tire mounted on her bike. I walk into the donut shop and the owner walks over to me and starts chatting. Turns out he rides a H-D, which I was like ahh cool man! My parents both ride harleys. He was then like "yea, maybe you will move up to a real bike then eh" with a grin on his face. I could tell he was just messin with me. I kinda chuckled and said, "Actually, I own a Buell right now, this is my G/Fs bike". From there we chatted about bikes a little. He turned out to be a really cool guy . I always enjoy meeting other bikers in random shops. |

I had an acquaintance try to be funny because he was with his two H-D buddies. Made the comment “hey if you water that thing it will grow into a real bike” I replied maybe if you water your driveway a bike will grow. His buddies couldn’t stop laughing. Needles to say his cager a$$ didn’t have a comeback. |
