I have reset tps and afv.
To reset the tps I closed the screw idle up to 0% at this point I turned the screw until the volts stabilized , yet another spin, then reset tps program.
I opened up to 5.1 degrees, but the bike not work at the minimum.
I turned the screw idle up to 7.9% as photos.

5.1 is a baseline for idle...if 7.8 is what you need for idle then you should be good. The idle should be 1000-1050 RPM's, also reset your AFV to 100, from your screenshots it's at 86 and that means you are running pretty rich in open-loop and it is leaning it out a lot.

Now just take it out on the road and do about 3500 RPM's for about 5 miles or so and the AFV will learn and you should be good.

Be sure to let the throttle snap closed and also to apply a small amount of throttle closing pressure to be certain that the throttle plate is 100% fully closed after you close (unscrew) the idle adjuster screw.

Then try the TPS reset again. Reset AFV to 100. Then reverify your idle setting.

If your XB9SX idles okay and performs okay at a steady cruising speed, then the TPS is likely okay.

One other thing. Be sure to set the idle only when the engine is good and warm (hot).

I can't say if and what it might mean, but the TPS voltage is surprisingly low. I just paged through all IB310 data I got, and the TPS reset voltage (= fully closed throttle) was between 0.83 and 0.91 volts. The screenshot shows 0.83 volts at idle position. That's not looking okay.

@Andrea: please upgrade to the most recent version.

Regards,
Gunter

thanks a lot !
the voltage of fully closed throttle is 0,52 v(tested with ecmspy2).
tps reset
at idle position 0,83v

It' s too low ?
It' s dangerous for my bike ?

I seem to recall some fairly knowledgeable source telling us that TPS voltage for fully closed was supposed to be in the 0,5V range.

But I sure hate to question Gunter.

I'm not sure, but wasn't there an new TPS type used in the 2006/2007 models? I have a vague memory this had been discussed before.

Anyway, usually the TPS voltage is of no real importance, as the ECM is calibrated to it by doing the TPS reset.

These are the voltages taken from my TPS used for bench tests (which is a 2003 model type):

- TPS unmounted: 0.53V
- fully closed throttle: 0.84V
- "idle" position (5.1°): 1.03V
- WOT 1 (84°/253 TPS 8bit): 4.44V
- WOT 2 (fully opened): 4.65V

Gunter
