I had the 1000 mile service and now when the bike's warm it bangs and make all kind of noise from the primary. I'm thinking they blew it when they did the chain adjustment. Sound right it you? I'm going out to have look tonight if I can. Any hints? |

sounds pretty much like it. i had to get the primary adjusted several times around that sort of mileage. you mean when its idling you can hear it knocking about right? i was also able to feel it through the handlebars. |

Yep when it's idling. OH WELL I should have known no good would come from a trip to the dealer to have it done. They didn't even do a TPI reset. So it looks like it was a $220.00 oil change as far as I can see. |

Not sure what a TPI reset but if you meant TPS and you payed them to do this I would get a refund or make them do it and watch as its being done. You have to remember alot of these techs are straight outta MMI. You need to find a veteran tech, they know what their doing. |

Sounds like a loose crank bolt to me.... I'd bet the tech flogged the life out of it, and it came loose. |

But the manual and learn to fix it yourself...you'll save a lot of money and not have to worry about what was done and what wasn't done. (Message edited by jpb on April 27, 2008) |
