New to the board, have to say this site is my favorite. Just recently purchased my second Buell, a Lightning Low and I love the thing better every time I get on it. The first Buell in the family was a '02 Blast! that my wife purchased as a gift to herself for letting me build a stock car. Well, to make a long boring story a short boring story, she wound up deciding that the Blast! wasn't for her, I wound up being turned on to Buells and performance riding because of it, traded the Blast! in on the Lightning, sold the race car, and bought her a used Honda Shadow VLX(it's low, slow, and makes her happy). My previous experiences in motorcycling revolved around my employment at 2 different H-D dealers, the second being a multi-make dealer that also sold Hondas and Kawasakis. Have to say that no other brand that I have experience with does it for me like Buells do! |

I'm over near the coast between Greenville and Kinston, about an hour from Emerald Isle. A buddy and I were talking about making a run that general direction. His father-in-law lives just a couple of hours away in Hillsville VA. We were going to do it this past week end but the rain probability there was too high and there was a zero chance here so we logged 300 mi. on Labor day along the coast. I'll definitely get in touch with you if I head that way. If you come this way, let me know and I'll try an' put something together. Dave dusterberg@earthlink.net |

Ted Yep its about 5 or 10 miles past mountain city. You'll know your getting close when you pass mnt.city all of a sudden it gets real twistie and funner than all get out. Then you'll come to a clearing and you'll see the country store and all the bikes. You'll love that road. As cool as the dragon and not as crowded. well it will be that day but you know what I mean. |
