Depends on where you live, new or used. In WI the dealers stay at MSRP. You get them to throw in free maintenance, reduce their assembly and shipping costs.

I'm in NH. There are only 2 dealers near me one has almost nothing in stock the other has at least 5 of each type of bike in stock all the time. I'd prefer new. I've been down to the bigger dealer and they seem real Buell friendly. I'm gonna buy it no matter if they move or not I just wanted to know if some dealers will haggle on price.

My friend and I have purchased three Buells in the last 6 months and on each of them the dealer did move down between $500 and $1000. One of those was an 08 XB12SCG.

I was also want to know if I should go with the cg or a regular S with a cg seat. My inseam is around 28" and I will be doing a little 2 up riding from time to time.If anyone here has riden both let me know the diffrences between the two other than seat hight and lower suspension. is the cg a stiffer ride than the s?

I bought an 08 XB12Scg in February. The dealer took $800 off of MSRP, didn't charge any freight or setup fees, and threw in the first service for free.

Bought it on March 27, 2008. Dealer didn't budge and his price was $1000 above MSRP. I walked out, went to another dealer, got the same price, but I liked him better. Beautiful cherry bomb red 08 scg!. Would have liked a lower price, but very happy with bike so far.

Luke, if you have a 28" inseam i would go with the scg. i have a scg and my girlfriend has a s. they both ride about the same. you just sit higher up on the s. i like my scg a little bit better. but i am also really used to it. and we have done a lot of two up riding on my scg. you might want to get the select seat for that. it has a lot more cushion on it. verses the stock low seat.

i hope this helps you out some.
