Nice article about the Buell in Ironworks. They were comparing the two for the daily grind of the city commute. Personally I think they should have chose the XL883 or the XL883R for the taller suspension. Two of the Three writers preferred the Buell ;) What I really hate about American rider magazines is you never know the stats of the riders doing the reviews ie ht, wt, inseam. Each rider had "suspension or comfort Issues" with the Buell. My bet is they were not set up for their height, weight by suspension and seat selection. Having both the XB9SX and the XL883R in the garage, the Buell wins every time. DR Jekyll , Mr. Hyde.

Why would there be anything on it? It's never been out! He said the Buell wins every time! |

Actually if you look really close you can see that the sporty is not pristine. that is why I love the black engine cases, it hides the dirt and rain muck so well. |

I have an XB9SX and an XL883C. I've swapped out the 21" front wheel for a 19" one and put longer shocks on, which makes the Sporty a better commuter than it was out of the box, but I like the light weight, handling, braking and acceleration of the Buell much better in traffic. I do find the "comfort" of the Sporty (Sun Downer) better than the Buell (Street Fighter) on long weekend rides
