Yes you can just remove the original o2 and put the wide band lm1 because the lm1 have a analog output that duplicate the original. the only incovenient it s the size of the lm1 box and you read only the rear cylinder so for tuning its not the way to go

Well I wdn`t think ya wd. want to remove the stock 02 sensor....You would need the for your ecm...

My thoughts are just weld in an additional 1 or 2 02 sensor bungs in the header pipe say 6 or 8 inches down from the heads and take readings from there???

http://www.daytona-sensors.com/tech_wego.html

IF you scroll down and through the other links they have some good motorcycle units ( also for dual o2 sensors ) here as well may be even better or just as good as the Innovates unit, Zippers sell these as well..Looks good..I wd. think Very Useful in going to big bore kits etc..
What do ya all think???

Zippers unit http://www.zippersperformance.com/catalogue/showproduct.asp?cat=588&prod=2129

But that one don`t show the dual 02 sensors...

If you want to used the lm1 for data loging buy it whit the rpm kit but take your rpm from the injector the best way it s to splice close to the ecm i used -head temps -rpm-tps % and air fuel you have to calibrate to get the good reading but it's easy

There had been a WB-O2 shootout once in the Ford Muscle magazine: http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2007/06/Wideban dShootout/index.php

Subscription required, but in regard to the costs for a WB O2 kit, it might be worth it.

I also recommend to take a look at the Megasquirt forum.

Gunter

Many wideband O2s have a provision to output a narrowband signal so that they can be put in place of the stock narrowband sensor. My NGK sensor is setup like this and is about the same size as the stock sensor.
