I've got an '04 XB12R...wondering if anyone knew off hand what size handle bars are on this stock, I was looking into getting risers while I'll was here at work off line. Went on a ride yesterday take put me on my bike for about 8 hours with 5 quick stops, and man, an inch or two rise would have been real nice. Thanks

The R doesn't have true bars like the S does... You need to get something like helibars if you want a more relaxed position.

How about this cheaper option that raises you 2" but also can pivot forward and back for an even more adjustable riding position.

Helibars, like I have, or Lightning top triple w/bars are basically the only options for moving your riding position.

Wantxbr, I did look into those, but they dont fit the XB-R. Unfortunately you have to go with item # 9023 or 9077 at the same site. Much more expensive. I have decided to go a less expensive route for now and get my seat re-pad with GEL...Ooooo smooshy-squoosh!!

If you're looking for a simple 1" rise with out having to modify or lengthen your cables we offer an inexpensive bar riser that will fit on your XB.

So are the bars 7/8th's all the way across? I have an 04 xb12r and the guy I got it from put on some grips that are super fat in the middle (I guess to cut down the vibration?), but they are too big for me!! I get arm pump, and I want to put smaller grips on.

Suggestions on what grips work the best?

Traction grips work well but if you want some thin grips take a look at some Rizoma grips.

The quality of the Rizoma components is EXCELLENT!! They also come in different colors. Bar end are needed with these grips though. Unless you like the look of the hole at the end.
