Does anyone know if these plugs are available for Lightnings? |

I saw that comparison test on Spike TV today. My only problem with it is they only tested it against one other un-named plug. I'd like to see it tested against all the other premium plugs before I bite. |

The E3 has some good points in its design but the Diamond Fire looks to be a variant of standard plug design with two more ground electrodes. At first I thought it was a limited variant of the Torque Master spark plug, but the E3 does not have a 360 degree firing range for the center electrode, does not have self-cleaning surface effect firing across the center insulator and does not have a non-adjustable 0.120" effective spark gap. But I'm sure the E3'll work fine especially if it will last 3 times longer than a standard plug. The Torque Master company has been around for a long time making their specialized patented spark plugs for all applications. I'm currently running the same set in my XB that has been in for 50k+ miles with no perceptible loss in performance, throttle response or mileage. But I would encourage you to try the E3's and report back with your findings after say, 25k or 50k miles. |

Spark plugs do not power an engine.THey only provide BBBBBZZZZZZZZTTTTTT,or SPARK. I was pi$$ed when my Ducati dealer installed fancy(non-standard hexed) GOOFY plugs in my newly ported heads.I like to keep it simple and stay with standard plugs. Can anyone produce FACTS related to increased performance of some of these goofy electroded plugs? |

I have seen the bosch platinum’s burn holes in pistons, people using plugs that aren’t specific to their application can have this problem. |

Is the E3 a Bosch Copy? Bosch's have been around for a while now.. Torque master looks interesting... Spark Plug Shoot out... |

Filing electrodes, and unshrouding the spark can make more power. It's an old dyno trick, and it does work. That plug with the ring around it seems like it would shroud the spark even more, but I don't know enough to say for sure. Bosch Platinums burning holes in pistons? I doubt that. I would need to see a reason why that happened.... |

It's aircraft technology rehashed for autos. Adding more power? No. A better spark from your plug? Yes. |

I run the iridiums and they "feel" a little better. They do throw a hell of a spark! |

The advantage iridiums have is they don't deteriorate as fast as a standard plug, so the gap stays accurate longer. |
