Just had a new belt fitted by the dealer under warranty after my original snapped at 14,000 miles. When moving the bike backwards, the belt creeps off the tensioner, the guard stops it moving completely off but also stops you from moving the bike backwards very far. Dealer says not to worry about it, it will bed in. Sounds like a load of bull to me. Anyone else seen this, got any suggestions for a fix (before I start shouting at the dealer). This is on a 2007 Ugly |

The windings within the belt are the cause of the "creep". It will loosen as the belt breaks in and the windings relax. Not BS, and no fix (Needed, or even possible). Turning the belt around won't change anything. The windings still face the same direction. Please don't yell at dealer, it sounds like they did right by you. |
