Very nice...aside from cosmetic differences exactly what I've wanted to do to my bike since day one.

I'll probably never get rid of the 9R tail section...love the trunk and my g/f alreayd complains about the cramped conditions without me making it worse with an S tail section!

Darthane...I wish I new what it took to put 9R tail on the 9S..I have brian from tilleys checking into it. The seat cowl did the trick, gives the 9S a much more flowing look, from front to back.

Gonen60,
Looks great! Give us the skinny...difficulty from 1 to 5? How much time and $ did you spend? What type of help did Brian give you? Did you just relocate the license plate by hacking the stock one off?
Thanks.

Gone: I got them from Daves at H-D/Buell Cycle Center. Dave gives a discount to us here at BadWeB. I used 3M Auto Molding Tape (the stuff they use to hold side molding ect. on cars). I post pictures as soon as I get a chance to take them.

man that does look cool. Glad it all worked out. Being the honest idiot that I am I goofed up on the ign. switch. The 9s switch does not transer to the 9r. It is too long.
So Gone forgave me of my mistake. OOOOPS..

Gone I'll be back with ya today on that tail section thingy.

VJB77..
Brian took countless time to research all parts needed, down to the nuts, bolts and washers. Fairing, support, headlights, top clamp, bars, wind screen, mirrors. all right over 500 dollars If I recall correctly.

Took about 3 days working on and off. Had a few minor glitches. Had to hard wire headlights, and buy a new ignition switch (50.00 bucks)no big deal. 1-5 scale. about a 3

I took a grinding wheel, cut off the rear tail piece (cheese grader/tea strainer)sanded the edges and sprayed it black (Misato's Help was fantastic)

I kicked my self a couple days after buying the 9S. It just wasn't the right riding position I wanted. Now, it's Much more aggressive and has the sport-bike feel.
A lot more feedback from the road now, with the new bars and riding position.

gotta love the XB9S/R

Gonen60,
Thanks, brother! I think $500 and a difficulty of 3 is a-ok! I wonder if Brian would mind getting the parts list posted?
