Looking at making my own Dip Stick Thermometer ? Does any one know the Bolt/Thread Size of the dip stick.... |

You can get a thread pitch gauge and measure the threads on the dip stick. (Message edited by mr2shim on April 07, 2008) |

This one is similar to my father inlaw's it has liquid makes it shock proof.. Not sure his is Celsius though..

That is the prototype installed on my 08 Uly. Keith has made several changes since that one, it will look a bit different based on inputs from the fitting/testing. I've had it on the bike for about 1.5 months now and it works well. I try to take a look at it every time I get off the bike, I typically see about 220-230 degrees on a fully warmed up bike. 08's run hotter than previous years, so they might be a bit lower. Al |

Thanks guys! The printer for the custom Dark Horse Moto gauge face is running way behind. Once the thermometer maufacturer has the faces, it will only take them a day or two to assemble and ship them. The custom billet oil caps are at the anodizer now and we are trying to get a status on them today. Thank you for you interest! I had one of these on my Sportster and liked having it there. I'm not sure it ever really told me anything I didn't already know, but it was a cool little peice. |
