Im ready to replace my stock XB12R seat with something really comfortable. I know there are lots of opinions in the search engine BUT im lazy and thought Id ask for some fresh feedback here. who makes the most comfortable aftermarket seat?

Mine came with the stock seat.

I couldn't believe that they expected anyone to ride the bike like that: instant butt polio.

Of course they didn't really.

They expected me to buy the Deluxe seat.

vv

Which I did.

Huge difference.

Only problem is that it raises the seat height about an inch. No problem for me, I am 6-2". That and the hundred and fifty bucks for a seat that should have come with the bike in the first place.

I don't know what the Corbin is like, but I must say that I have never heard of another company that had so many unhappy customers and such a reputation for total arrogance and disrespect for their customers.

Check this guy out if you like the look of the stock seat. He will customize based on your riding style and offers a bunch of options. I think he is cheaper than buying aftermarket too!

+1 on the Buell Custom seat. Much cheaper than the Corbin and is just about the same seat. YOu can find them on the Bay for ~$100.

Corbin's not as bad as some say.

I put one on my Guzzi V11 __ BIG difference.

Got one on the XB9R -- from AL at American Sport Bike.

If you're tall, save a few bucks on the Buell seat. Otherwise, me say Corbin...

I have the corbin and really like it. 1000 miles in two days on my Firebolt and my ass wasn't unhappy at all. That's sayin' sumptin.

I got my Corbin from American Sport Bike. It came faster than expected. It had some fit issues, but nothing I coudnl't live with.

Corbin: some people like them, some people don't. Try before you buy. If you live in No. California you can always go to the factory and have one custom made - that always works out well.

The biggest issue with Corbin is with the man himself. I agree, I've never met a more arrogant SOB in my life. But his seats ARE comfortable for thousands of miles. Just don't get caught in the rain with one unless you are into walking around with embarrassing wet spots in your crotch DAYS after everything else has dried out...

Hmmm maybe corbin..... I am definitely not a tall person at 5'6. Is there a seat thats okay in the rain and decent for short people as well. I do live in so cal so rain isnt a huge issue but my bike is outside at night and gets lots of condensation I get to sit on in the morning when Im running late : )

thanks again

Now i'm interested in thegreatdaytoride seats. Never heard of them before but from what i read on their site they will lower and re-do your seat for like 50-60 bucks. thats a deal anyway you look at it. Its got me thinking about getting my stock seat done to see how it feels.

+1 on the Corbin.
You live in Cali and so I would take advantage of a ride up to Hollister and not only get the seat for your R, but have it custom fitted to your rear end at no extra cost. I got the seat that they have ready for the 12R built up in the rear so I don't go sliding back into the rear cowl as well as dished out a bit more than what they have. Got to pick out the type of leather (top) and vinyl (sides) as well as the color of the CORBIN logo to match the bike. All at no extra cost. This is not to mention that I got breakfast and lunch free at the adjoining cafe, a self tour of the factory. I was also able to meet Mr. Corbin himself as he was checking out some of the work on the bikes that was going on. He was really cool.

Oh BTW, the seat is great and I have yet to experience the butt pain and sleepy-leg that I had with the stock seat. I've ridden for 8 hours with no problem at all. Although, I attribute this partially to the HeliBars that I have put on the bike as well. Good hunting.

+1 on the great day to ride. Spencer, owner operator and Chief-cook-and-bottle washer is GREAT to work with! Communication and quality are #1 for him! He keeps adding to his services he offers. He was talking about making seat covers also.

My 25r has one of his LD seats, my buns are smiling LOL

Just got back from a trip down to Texas, Sunday.
Almost 2600 miles on the 1125R in a week.
A 600 mile day and a 700 mile day - Buell Tour Seat +++++.
Can't wait till my Uly drop-pegs get here.

I'm riding the stock seat on my Blast, but I've had two styles of Corbins on my Old Wing and two styles on my Sportster and they were great. Never met the man and don't care what he's like as long as my butt is smiling.

That's not a pleasant visual, is it?
