I'm pretty sure they take the valve out, so my *guess* is that they're the same internally. But it's only a guess. |

You might want to ask the guy who makes them, Kevin Drum. He is a sponsor of this board. His URL is:www.kdfab.com . |

it will bolt in place if thats the answer you want! kevin says there are changes he does between a 9 and a 12. something to do with the exhaust flow volume or such. i do know that the diameter of the exhaust tip is different between the 9/12. |

There is a slight modification that Kevin does to the 9 to put it on a 12. Don't know what it is, but we a fellow Bueller who is using one of my old 9 canisters to be placed on his 12. Kevin said to make sure we included this information in the box so he knew to make the proper changes for the 12 motor. ps-great guy to hang out with, if you ever get the chance, do it. |

Should work fine. Originally there was no 12 Drummer, just the original Drummer designed on an XB9. I ran one of those on my XB12R for ~20k miles before upgrading to one of the newer style XB12 Drummers with the removable end cap. |

can some one tell me what this "drummer" is? I hear so much about it; I think I know, but I want to clarify. I am looking to actually modify the performance of my XB9R, I have done aesthetic mods, but where should I start for performance. Thanks, Alex |
