Thanks Sean. your first make over inspired the idea, then it kinda snowballed to what you see here. here are a few better pics of the RSS.

yup, that's them. brings back some fond memories. the side rails look like they turned out great. i think the black stealth axle sliders from dark horse moto would be a nice finishing touch. |

i think the black stealth axle sliders from dark horse moto would be a nice finishing touch. yes im thinking about them! I still need to do a few things..but its coming out good! side rails came out darker then i thought they would, but i think i like it better because it matches up with the swing arm.... like gray in front and dark gray in back!! do it. they'll look great and save your swing arm and forks if gravity were to beat you. |

thanks for all the positive feed back. there may still be a few tweaks yet to come (they're never done, are they?), mainly in the exhaust area. when the drummer ss comes in i think i'll ceramic coat the headers in silver. i think that would look real nice. |

ben, you should ceramic coat those headers in blue. i think it would tie everything together nicely. and yes they are never done. i still have a lot of plans fore mine. unfortunately i have more plans than money.... |

Jim that would look good. i'll have to see if they can match the color with the other blue on the bike. if not, i figure the silver would work with the silver SS drummer. we'll see what's available when the time comes. |

Or do the Black ceramic. That would look nice too. One suggestion...buy a buckle protector plate for your airbox cover. Why mar that nice paint work. The aluminum Buell plate would look nice |

Have to agree with Jim about the blue headers. That would look sweet. |

I gotta get me some of that stuff. Thanks. If the headers don't turn out sky blue, they would look kickass. |

ben i found this pic over in the big bad & ugly i mean dirty section. they where discussing what color to ceramic coat there pipes. hear is a sample pic of the blue. i think it would match very nicely. i think the silver would be a little much. on my bike i try not to run the same colors together to much. that way it brakes up the lines a little bit. so parts don't just blend together.

hmmmm, i wonder if there'd be a way to shine up the blue, like some kind of clear coat or something??? |

Ben, i have the silver ceramic coating on my pipes, and every so often i have to polish them or they get dull looking. so i bet you could polish the blue. they wouldn't be really shiny but they would have a gloss to them. i don't think they have a clear coating that would hold up to the high temps of the pipes. but if they did it would look bad a$$ if you polished your pipe and them sprayed candy blue over them.... |
