The gel grips are great. A lot better than the stock ones. |

Update on my stock 207 front tire, I put 10670 miles on it, probably could have gotten about another 1000 on it or so, but wanted to change it before TQ Fest and get the new one scuffed up a little before the twisties next month. Still real happy with the 205 on the rear, hasn't slipped yet. |

205 rear is working great so far and now it is time to purchase a front. Does it matter if I buy something besides a 205 front. Have heard different theories on this subject - front and rear must match? |

Personal preference only, Ckj. I prefer to match, others don't care. Just don't get a front tire that's less sticky than the rear - that's asking for trouble. Bryan |

Dunlop recommeds 36/42 for the 208ZR's (Alternate replacement for the OEM 207's). Recently did a track day with new 208's at this pressure with favorable results. Occasionally scraped the peg feelers while using all of the rear & most of the front tire's tread. Chose the 208 vs. the M1's considering more longevity from the Dunlops. Approx. 1k more miles. |

I used two sets of stock tires in 7800 miles. I wanted to try a set of Bridgestone Battlax 010's. I have 2200 miles on the 010's and love them. cheap too! |

I am having some street Rennsports fitted today before the Buellfest track day at Cadwell next week. I found that the standard tyres lasted 3500 miles but started to slip out of corners when the weather (South of France|) got very hot. In case you think this is a boast, I'm not talking about a Flat-track style slide, just a little bum-puckering slip out. My front tyre seemed to get more worn than the rear, which is the reverse of what I would normally expect. |

As I said earlier in this thread, I ordered Michelin Pilot Roads (Darn French!).... Unfortunatly, they are still backordered until OCT 15ish.... Soooo... Desperate for a set of tires I settled for the OEM 207s again..... Darn French!... Now I'll have to go through two rears before I can try something different.... Darn French! kk//kef |
