When does your Low Fuel Light come on? I know it is supposed to be around .75 Gallons. Mine comes on about 1 gallon or so. I was surprised when I only put in 2.8 gallons with 15 miles on reserve light, and had a MPG of 48.

It's common experience here with the XB's that you have about 30 miles left when the low light comes on...

48 MPG sounds right in the city. Will be high 50's on the highway.

I get 145-160 miles to a tank. Depends how I drive it.

Mine comes on with one gallon left, too.

Been like that since I got it. Never bothered to question it.

It is good to see some commonality in the fuel light system. I ride about 50/50 highway-city here in Phoenix. I am no lightweight at 250lbs, the good fuel mileage is welcome to me. I will regret having an occupation that doesn't afford me with the chance to commute on a bike all week, but not like that will stop me.

Anybody know if you can use all 3.7 gallons? Mine comes on after I use 2.7 which leaves a gallon and I should be able to go at least 40 miles on that.

I get at least 55mpg all the time, and my fuel light comes on at just shy of one gallon.

My fuel light would come on at the 100 mile mark like clock work. I wasn't exactly riding like grandpa though. By far the worst gas mileage and distance on a tank full of any bike I've ever owned. Good thing was that at about 100 miles I was ready to get off for a minute or two any how. 2004 XB12R

05 12R light comes on between 80 and 110 miles and I fill it up before I ride 15 more. I don't know how much is left or how much it takes when I fill it. That's the only drawback to feuling up where I do.

On my Zumo 550 I set the miles per tank at 170 miles for highway rides and 150 for city before it warns me to get fuel it's pretty darn close to when my fuel light comes on to. I commuted btwn Toledo Oh and Rochester Hills Mi I could go to one and about 1/4 to 1/3 back to my origin before I have to fill up tho I usually fill up before I head back just in case I get stuck in traffic or take the scenic route.
