You can use the back end of a spark plug socket, and turn it with a pair of channel locks. |

No need for the channel lock. Use a 3/8" extension put it it the side that the spark plug would normally be in, back wards that is and it should work too. |

Thanks for the help guys, I ended up going to s specialty tool store and bought a huge allen key. I did think about the spark plug deal, in fact I have about 8 of em and guess what...none of them fit...thats just my luck though..It would have been a serious B*it#h to put the Jardine rear strap on without removing the idler pulley. I had a hell of a time as it was with that. The orig. rear mount bracket I just cut off with a grinder and cutting disk..no need to remove oils lines that way. Just hope I never need it again, but it still is functional I guess, just have a chunk missing from the top. Anyhow, its all together and the race ECM and K&N are in now also. Im going to the shop tomorrow to adjust my TPS. I have about 15 miles to go, should it be cool? I rode it for a very short stint after finishing and it was lean as could be, and smelled nice and hot...guess I could stop half way to let it cool a bit.. But...WOW!! That exhaust is freakin louder than hell...I like it though, well see what the neighbors and the boys in blue think...hopefully nothing. I plan to keep the QMI (quiet mod. insert) on me when I ride and say I was on my way to install it,if I get pulled over for the noise..hope it works. |
