Sub65chris - Oh I didn't even notice the gas mask until I read your post. That is AWESOME! Bike looks great! One question: You have the licencse plate mounted kind of under the seat there. Is that "legal"? I have seen a few other ppl do it and the guy I bought my bike from had it that way, but I but the factory tail section back on, because I didn't want to give them a reason to pull me over. Just curious... |

Comeauzee - Where did you get the gas mask that you put on there? How is it on there? I would like to put one on my bike. But I totally understand if it is something that you want to keep yours and only yours to remain unique. It is very cool! But if you're willing to share I'd love to know the details. |

It is a great look, but not unique. It is an Avon european made gasmask . Standard issue for Scottish troops. Mine is from WW2 and I paid about $80usd on ebay. It is secured with the straps, but after carefully cutting the eyes out it fits snug. You can also look up a Typeone's 12 on here or on google. http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/43/2801 50.html?1177484071 |

Oh, well maybe I will go down to the local army surplus store and get a WWII american gas mask and see if I can't get that fit up. Thanks Kakkarott3 |

I think the reason the Avon mates up so well is the shape and placement of the eyes. Post pics if you find an American made one as I'm sure it will be a hell of a lot cheaper for people. |

My mask is not held on by straps, I just super glued the original c channel pieces inverted, that came from the mask that held in the eye pieces. holds it in place great, as long as you don't do to many hard landing wheelies...lol. Got the gas mask off e-bay like Kakkartt said. And about the licence plate, from my understanding of the law where I'm from, as long as it is visable for the cops to read it when they are behind you that is all that matters. |

Placement of the plate may be legal as long as it is lit at night. Cut out a hole under the tailpiece, there is already a white lens there. That may be enough light to keep from getting hassled by the man. Awesome bike BTW. |

Yeah great work. This bike will turn heads and I'm sure provoke a ton of "What kind of bike is that? " Good job making the Buell community proud. |
