Have any of you put the lower suspension on a Long?? I thought someone here did. Wondering what the results were. Would it effect the handling a lot?? Thanks for all info Sean (Message edited by hammeroid on March 20, 2008) |

Soobatai, food for wolves! I asked this same question a few months back and someone said that they thought some one had done it, but I never found anything. Consensus is that the Scg shock would not mount up correctly. DOOM |

Ha ha I'm a wizard, mind you! yeah I think a guy did it but then crashed a few weeks later. Don't know if it was O.E. or due to the suspension set-up. |

Yea there was a guy that put an SS swingarm along with the SCG suspension on a firebolt. It looked AWESOME when it was done but if I remember correctly it caught fire shortly after (un-related I think) |

Crom! I remember that, he said that the rear sat lower than the front because the shock mounted to a slightly different spot on the swingarm. |

That bike was THE BALLS. The guy's screen name was Penders_xb12r. Great guy I had asked him a few questions about his setup and was very informative about the whole process. Very cool because it used OEM parts. |
