I'm looking to get a Jardine slip-on soon and I would like to continue to run the chin fairing. I guess the Jardine comes with a lot of brackets and hardware to help mount the chin fairing? What are your comments on mounting the chin fairing with the Jardine? Was it easy, did the brackets and hardware work out well? Does the Jardine not have a bracket for the two forward chin fairing mounting bolts? Thanks for your help! | ||

All brackets & hardware mount on fine. Chin fairing will attach to the brackets easily but I did have the chin fairing touching the header just slightly at first. You will need to take the side stand off though to attach one of the brackets & disconnect the oil line to remove the standard muffler rear bracket & attach the Jardine mounting point. It's one of the cheaper mufflers out there & you get what you pay for. | ||

there are many jardine owners that complain about the aluminum pipe and its longevity...over time the soft aluminum ovals out around the rivet holes and comes loose. i spent the extra cash and took a shot on the carbon fiber and after 3k on it it's still like new opened it up to check packing and still perfect. as far as mounting the bracket for the muffler and spoiler mine required a little persuasion to fit correctly but nothing major simple adjustments. there is no support for the front 2 bolts on the chin fairing only for the 5 side bolts, but it's very solid when mounted. you do need to remove the side stand to mount the bracket...very easy to do if someone holds the bike for ya....jardines directions call for you to disconnect the oil line that runs through the stock muffler brackets, i took the easy way out and cut a notch in mine with a dremmel tool and just slid it over the oil line. hope this helps you decide. pic of the pipe on bike in profile. | ||

I love the sound of my Jardine. But, due to not having any support at the front, the fairing is forming cracks around the other mount points. At idle the fairing rattles.The mounts bolt on easily. You have to remove the tensioner nuts and reinstall. No need to move tensioner. I run a KN filter and have to remove the RT side bracket every time I change the oil. I'll eventually replace the fairing when I do a Micron. No clearence issues with the exhuast an fairing on my bike. | ||
