I'm looking for something that will get pretty good mileage but also be usable for a trackday. Sprited touring - I'm planning on doing some serious miles this season. I've been eyeing the Conti Road Attack - price is right and reviews are good - anyone have any experience with them? I'm looking for something that will get pretty good mileage but also be usable for a trackday. Have you considered Dunlop Qualifiers? The NESBA trackday coaches loved the Qs when they first came out, so I wanted to give them a try. I just fitted a set and can't give any real feedback yet because our roads are too full of sand and gravel for any real riding now. I did try the front brake while leaned over, and it did not try to stand the bike up like the older Dunlops with a different profile did. | ||

I just installed a set of Pirelli Scorpion Syncs per the suggestions of NUMEROUS people on this board. I'll post some results as soon as my driveway thaws. Damn f'n ice storm!!! Oh, and they look pretty badass, too. | ||

the Syncs are a nice tire but he's on a Bolt 1324 sure they'll work but.... not for what he's looking to do | ||

To each their own I suppose. I'll be doing a couple track days this year, so I'll see how they hold up. No way to find out how they'll work unless you use them...time will tell. | ||

Can't go wrong with Perilli. IMHO that is. Syncs are a great tire, even for a track day. Regardless of if he's on a Bolt or not. The Rosso is my next set. I love the Diablo, so the Rosso has got to be even better. | ||

That Rosso is an interesting find - and not much more than the competition. May be worth looking into. If only it lasted longer... Scorpion Synchs aren't really going to fit my application, lol. I guess basically what I'm looking for is a sport-touring tire that stil performs well enough to put a knee down on. Does such a tire exist? | ||

I had Syncs on my bike a couple of times, and never had the bike feel unstable, even with a knee down at track speeds. | ||

I love the Diablo, so the Rosso has got to be even better. For what it's worth: At the race track I had traction issues with the regular Diablos. The Diablo Corsa gave me better hook-up at high lean angles. I also felt better in two wheel drifts on the Diablo Corsas. | ||

I really don't know how much mileage I want - probably just more than I get now would suffice. I'm still on the stock Perilli's right now, something like 5300 miles on them. I'd guess I could get 6-7000 miles out of these tires, so anything that doesn't do any worse than these but performs better is in the running. Those Rosso's are looking better and better actually, if I can get the same mileage out of them. | ||

I don't think I've ever gotten that kind of mileage out of any of the tires I've used. Then again, I'm pretty hard on tires I guess. Don't go by my profile pis either, that was done just before I changed tires. I'd never do that on any tire that had any life left in it. | ||

GLitch, I was going to make a comment about your pic, but I forgot, lol. Yeah, I think I'm generally really easy on tires, so maybe I'm making a big deal about nothing. But seriously - has anyone had any experience with the Continental Sport Attack or Road Attack? They look like interesting tires and the price is right on them. | ||

I have the conti road attacks....I like the tires so far, I've only got about 3k on this set and they are holding up well. I'm thinking I'll probably get between 7 and 8 k out of them, maybe a little more. overall they stick very good at low outside temps, very good in the rain, feel solid and planted in corners. for the price they can't be beat | ||

I ran the Pilot Roads last season and did get 7000 miles on them. I am thinking of trying the dual compound Road II's this season. I was surprised at the excellent grip on the last set, and the new dual compound version should be even better. Anyone with any experience with them? | ||

I have the PR2 on my ST1300 and they are much better than the PR and I liked the PR. On my 1125r, my 1st set will be a set of Road Attacks then I might try the PR2. That will get through June, just in time for Home Coming. Neil S. | ||

I bought the Conti Road attacks towards the end of last year. Never done track days, but in spirited street riding (03 XB9S) they were a huge improvement in feel and grip wise over my previous set of tires. I bought them based on the combination of good handling and longevity. Not many miles obviously, but lots of grins! | ||

I love my RA's. Got around 7k out of the rear, have around 8k or 9k on the front so far. |
