You can simply buy the parts manual from Buell...that's what I did. If your dealer doesn't have them any of the dealer sponsors here will surely have XB parts manuals. By the way, I'd urge you to buy from one of the dealers as opposed to e-bay for a parts manual but hey...that's just me. I've heard the XB12 manuals are out and I can't wait to see them. This is fabulous. Court |

Exactly Kevin. It just shows exploded diagrams of all the assemblies with part numbers, right down to every screw and washer. If your dealer is anything but outstanding, you will need one to get the right parts ordered. I just xerox the page with the parts list, hit the ones I need with a highlighter, and hand that to my dealer. It is also helpful on service in many ways, kinda of a "where do these parts go" in a nutshell. The service manual does not always have the larger context exploded diagrams. $50 is a lot though. I don't think my 2000 Cyclone manual was that much. I would still buy one, but I would sulk a little. Especially when the *main* reason for buying it is due to the inability of my Cincinnati dealers to get the right part number ordered. Cheap insurance I guess... getting the wrong part could easily cost me a week or two of riding depending on the timing. |
