So I am in the middle of the open airbox conversion. (Doing it myself, no kit) I have the xb12 with the race muffler and ecm so no need for the exhaust valve and the wiring associated with it. I never had the stock muffler so there is no worry of ever going back to stock. Should I just rip out the wiring and the exhaust valve cable? Chris |

If you have teh Race ECM then there is no need to keep it on the bike. I would probably leave the cable in place only because it's much easier to remove than it is to put back, but it's your call. |

Which airbox cover did you get Dobr? Or are you doing that to an existing cover as well? |
