I put a Jardine exhaust on my bike, Love the sound, seems to be holding up but hear many people say they don't like Jardine. |

I like the Jardines, but I don't like the idea of having to repack the thing. I'm very into zero maintenance. |

I couldn't believe the weight saving when I switched, went into turns a lot quicker. |

I really like mine. It has been on my bike since the summer of 2005, but I've repacked twice over the last 8,000 miles. The last time I took it apart I had the mid-pipe and aluminum center portion of the pipe jet-hot coated black. I don't know if that will help make the packing last longer or not since I barely rode the bike last summer since I was in school. I'm not thinking that it will make any difference. Once it starts to sound raspy it is time to repack. Also pay attention to the rivets on the front and back of the pipe because they will start to pull through if you don't repack early enough. |

I have about 4000 miles on my Jardine pipe on my Xb9R and took it apart to check the packing, it was in good shape and did not have to pack it. This after everyone talking about having to repack it. Besides even when I was on a jap bike with a pipe, you still had to repack those pipes to. (All my old yoshamira pipes) I love my Jardine pipe, just the weight savings over the stock pipe is huge. The sound, what can we say about that -- its just awesome. All my buddies are on jap bikes and they all say how cool my bike sounds. Plus when i ride with them, you cant even hear their bikes. The think with Jardine is that back in the day ( i mean back in the 80's & 90's) when i rode jap bikes Jardine was like the junk pipe up there with F1. You wouldnt dare put one on your bike and not expected to get ragged on. The pipes to have were Yoshamira, Vance & Hines, Kerker, supertrap. But Jardine products have come a long way as far as quality. The only problem I have had is that the side name plate fell off and I am having a hell of time finding a replacement. Does anyone have an idea were to get one? |

Just curious, did any of you have a remap of your ecm, or add a race ecm, or just hang it and go. I did the latter have only put a few hundred miles on the bike. All seems well but I seem to get differing opinions as far as whether to have the ecm remapped. Just wondering what others are doing. |

I added a race ecm, k&n (let's please forgo that discussion), de-snorkel, and cut up air box all about the same time as the Jardine. Had some trouble at idle at first, but everything worked itself out after a tps reset and running at 3k rpm for a few minutes. Because I did so much at once, I don't really know how much the Jardine added, but the bike runs great. I don't like the Jardine much because it took a lot of fabrication to get the damn thing mounted properly, it leaked horribly at the collector until I reverted to the stock torca clamp, and you can no longer jack the bike up from underneath. |

i just put on the jardine carbon fiber. looks like the packing is made out of steel wool and not the fiberglass material. does this mean, it won't have to be repacked? anyways, great sounding pipe and extremely light weight. |

My buddy has repacked his twice. According to him, riveting the end cap back on was a PITA. He took the stickers off before putting it on and exposing it to a heat cycle. They came right off and it looks clean. He likes the Jardine..Until he hears me and my Micron system rippin it past him!
