so i am going to turbo my firebolt...im just wondering what size turbo would be the best...i found this one turbo IHI RHF4 its decent priced small it has an inlet of 1.81" and an outlet of 1.45" the inducer is 1.33" and the exducer is 1.87"...what do you all think about that one? to small? cause it does not seem to be that big but i am also not trying to a crazy huge turbo on the bike but what is everyones opinion on that turbo..thanks |

Your question has been answered twice already. I already posted in your other turbo thread. (one of three now)that EricZ who has the most complete turbo XB on the board, that I know of, is using a Garrett GT22. I would imagine a GT15 or GT20 would work also. He may be coming out with a kit this year. There are not that many turbo Buells running around but one of the most knowledgeable is firemanjim who told you about the IHI turbo that you reference. So if you are questioning him, you aren't going to get much better info from anyone else. Google turbos and flow maps. Read, Read, and then read some more .Then pick your turbo based on your needs. |
