How do I remove the tint that is inside the regular headlight lens on the Firebolt. It puts out zero light and therefore I need to remove the tint so that I can see where I am going. |

I could be wrong, but I think guys here have said that there is a light deflector inside the lamp housing. The lens isn't tinted, but there is a piece of something (metal?) inside there to prevent the light from shining up into driver's eyes. That bit of material is the only difference between the Hi and Low beam assemblies on the Firebolt. It might be possible to remove that deflector. Or you could order another Hi beam assembly from the dealer and make both lights Hi beam. |

the difference between the high beam and low beam is how the respective bulbs are aimed. If there is a tint inside, I will be genuinely surprised. |

The bulbs are exactly the same, and they are not aimed any differently. There's a shroud inside the low-beam assembly that blocks off the upper half. No idea what it's made of or how to get it out (never bothered to look). Quickest and easiest way to get rid of it is to buy another high beam and swap them out. I'm sure you can cut it open, but make sure you seal it well again or you'll start going through bulbs like Rosie O'Donnel goes through Reese's cups. |

..the aim is adjustable via the bolt behind them, page 1-47 of the service manual. |

Hi All, newbie here. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with a complaint about that. Hopefully I'll have some time this weekend to tear into it. I'll let ya all know if I do and what I find out. |

No Luck working on it this weekend, Just couldn't squeeze it in between my ride and my Bro laying down his New Hyabusa (Boy is his wife Pissed). Some cracked fairings and Hurt Pride, other than that all is fine. I'll give you all a shout when I finally get around to it. |

LOL...yeah, but those cracked fairings will probably cost a pretty penny to replace. NAKED BIKES RULE! |

His ol' lady was ready to sell it, I told him to put her in her place. He did, to a point, he get's to keep the bike, can't fix the fairings (battle scare to remind him, his wife says) and he can't play on the weekends any more. Married life is such a compromise some times. |
