Woa DUUUUDE! John Buell signature is REALLY RARE! I know a few people with Erik Buell signatures but NOBODY with a John Buell signature! That's why they're opening bidding so high - it's that rare signature! |

That's a totally different Buell Motorcycle Company. I think they're based in West Troy. Surf on over to the GoodWeb to learn more about them. |

LMAO "only a few made" what is a 1203R?? He seems real proud of the seat cover. Maybe he should read the damn book he is holding in one of the pics... Ok, who is going to use the "ask a seller a question" function to find out who John Buell is and how many 1203Rs were made... Toooo funny.... I see a HD plate on his jeep. Explains a lot. |

Ok, who is going to use the "ask a seller a question" function to find out who John Buell is and how many 1203Rs were made... I asked and he posted his answer: As far as I know the 12R is 1200CC and the Signature Series is 1203 and it bears the Signature plate and it also has some other appointments that the standard bike does not have. The warranty is good until October of 2012. I will answer any and all questions to the best of my ability. I rode it this past weekend for about a half mile and believe me when I say HOLD ON!!!!! Wow. Just wow. (Message edited by towjam on February 05, 2008) |

I couldn't resist and asked for clarification, here's his response verbatim (I kid you not!) It says John Buell on the plate and from what I have been told he was the father and has sinc passed away. The Signature Series is like buying a Z06 Corvette rather than A Standard C5 |

Gee, I wonder if John signed it before or after passing away? After would be worth more right? |

I would hope that anyone buying a buell would be informed enough to know all that signature crap is BS. But then again I knew little to nothing about Buells when I bought my S2. So you never know. |

I sent him this: Let me straighten you out: There is no "signature series". What you have there is a stock 2008 Buell XB12R, no different than any other 2008 Buell XB12R. There is no 1200cc motor, only 1203, the engine is called the "Thunderstorm" and it always has been. I know this. I own a Buell XB12R with the serial number 3 on it. Please change the description of the bike so nobody accuses you of misrepresentation. I wonder if he'll respond. |

I reminded him that, absent an MSO, advertising that baby as "Brand New" with 198 miles gets him in mucho hot water. |

He had the owners manual, did he even read it ? I never understood the H-D license plate frames for cars & trucks. Or the stickers, or the Barbie dolls, cat leashes, billard ball set, BBQ with braizen bar & shield, lava lamps, baby cloths, or H-D cleaning bucket. Ok I get the cleaning bucket concept, you just wont find that hundred dollar item in my garage. |

Anyone notice how it is listed for $9500 with a reserve? I wonder I what he really wants for it? |

I sent him two - I clarified that every 2008 has the signature plate on it and that he had nothing special. I then informed him that his opening bid is the same as the MSRP on a brand new one, lol. If this is a friend's bike then he can only dish out what his bud is telling him - can't fault him for that. |
