I bet a black race can would look really nice with the black pipes. |

My dad (Xbrfirebolt) did his race can in black and it looks good. That's the way I would go if I didn't have a Drummer |

Don't laugh, but I used a rattle can of hi-temp black paint on my race can and I think it looks ok with the black header wrap. It's a cheap job, but the mission was accomplished. The fun part though was trying to get the darn thing mounted without scratching the paint. One of these days I'll rotate the engine down and send off my headers and can to get jet-hot coated. |

Sounds Good! I have also experimented with a inline fan, similar to yours. I had a switch to ran the fan on/off. I got a huge improvement in low rpm power(2-4K), much better mid-range(4-5.5K), and also high rpm improvement. I experienced no hesitations . My AFV went from 99 (before the fan) to 109 (after the fan), which I think is a big improvement. The problems I got was, and i still have to look into are : 1. Air filtering. All that I used was a mesh for big particles, after the fan's discharge. The bike made more power. But maybe I would get the same improvement in power and AFV, if I only took the KN filter off and just used the trumpet, with no fan ??? 2. Fitting the tank cover. Do you think that you can put an air filter and still be able to fit the tank cover ?? Have you made any AFV measurements ? |

Speedy- Does it actually work? how many cfms does the motor usually runat and how much will the fan put out? Draw on teh electrical system? Actual hp gains. seems like a cool idea! Would love to see the end results. |

looks like you could use a little teflon tape around that fan mounting spigot ! |

I think it might actually slow the air down going through there but hey I would try it why not I would think that the fan could not pump air faster than your stack could suck it in and end up slowing it rather than boosting pressure I am not however the sharpest tool in the shed and could be dead wrong thats why I would try it as well if I would have thought about it |

It's like a supercharger. The Japanese have been doing this and I even remember someone here in the States with one. I remember a video with the fan flying around his shop, pretty neat but.... Neil S. |

well i'll be I see now and working only at full throttle I guess would take away any worry of leaning out to much and causing a problem very interesting |

Very interesting. I am going to have to check out the dimensions if it will fit I might just have to add this to my open airbox kit. |

Sean, I'd say polish up those headers and lose the upper belt guard. Looks great otherwise |
