bought a 06 XB12S with 9k miles. after owning imports, the XB is most different in every aspect. so far i'm loving it but still need to work out the bugs. i just dropped it off at Liberty Harley in Rahway, NJ for front cyl cutting out and leaking rear shock. my first time in a Harley retailer and so far, i had a great experience. great people and very knowledgeable. alot of the employees rode buells. got a chance to meet anthony C. of "thou shalt not whine" racing and showed me both his race bikes for MOTO ST. now, i await the diagnosis and hopefully all works out so i can get more seat time on the XB. |

Welcome to the Buell experience dennis! You can probly work those bugs out yourself with a factory shop manual and a little mechanical savy. I've never known a more intelligently engineered motorcycle in my life. There's folks here on Badweb that are glad to help and doing your own work has multiple rewards. Enjoy! |

Congrats man! I also came from imports (Yamaha) and I will tell you to prepare yourself to never ever own another import bike. Buell is in your blood now. Its a nasty disease that you will NEVER cure yourself of!!! After having the Buell, I highly doubt you will ever see another import bike in my garage. (unless I fall into tons of money and can have 10 bikes) Buell is hands-down the best, period! |

Welcome to the BadWeB. Now all you need to do is hook up with some of your fellow North East Buellers, and head on down South for March Badness 5. |

Buells are crystal meth coated in crack cocaine. I couldn't agree with you more. I sold my M2 to buy a Ducati (big mistake) which I traded to buy a BMW (very capable touring bike) but no matter what, I couldn't get Buell out of my mind. I'm picking up an '04 XB9S in West Virginia this weekend. |

I rode an import before as well (Honda) and I have to say my 12R is everything I want in a ride it all the time motorcycle. Now my fiancee wants one as well (Scg)! I might own another make of motorcycle, Triumph, but only because I love them for the same reasons I love Buells -- well made, full of soul, and nice looking too. You know, a Triumph cafe racer powered by a XB or 1125 engine would be an awesome rumbling about town bike! Triumph guys will have my blood for that idea, LOL! Cheers and welcome to the family, however messed up and disturbed we are! |

Hey Retrittion......I have a Triumph Adventurer and I'm thinking of turning it into a cafe style bike. I have to figure out if I'm going to keep it first. I just picked up a 75 BMW R90/6 but have to put it together. Once I do that I have to figure out which one of the two I'm going to keep. |
