I just got my T-ReX rear stand today and i think its awesome. If anyone out there is looking to pick up a rear stand i highly recommend these. I also have the DarkHorse Moto Rear sliders with the lift groove. Works perfectly.      | ||

I got the identical set up, But my sliders are the black ones, and I tried to use the hook part of the stand once and it started to scratch them. So I am thinking I will glue a piece of split rubber hose over the hook. But for now the Swing arm lift points work great. | ||

The stand top bracket can be flipped over to allow it to lift from the bottom of the swingarm. Really not very secure - it tends to slide forward (bike slides aft) with wiggling. (Message edited by slaughter on January 16, 2008) | ||

I got a set of Pitbulls back in 05 but if I were shopping today I would give those T-Rex stands a real serious look. They look pretty beefy. I'm digging the double wheels. | ||

i just received mine as well yesterday, well built for the price. one minor detail though, i'm having a problem getting the pin for the triple tree to fit - could it be because i have a xb9sl model and the pin should be a different size? | ||

Just to clarify what I posted above - ALL stands that lift on the bottom of the XB swingarm tend to move forward (bike moves aft) - that's why the grooved spools work so well. One complaint I have is NOT having a boss on the swingarm with threads for a swingarm spool. | ||

Gambit, I don't know if it's the same with the T-Rex as it is with the Pitbull but I have a 12cg (low) and I have to remove the fender to use the front stand. There just isn't enough clearance with the front fender on. With the fender off it is slick & easy as the T-Rex should be as well. | ||

Neil, did you do a suspension swap on your 12R? The 9Sl and 12Scg are almost an inch lower than the standard height S and R models. That's almost an inch less room between the fender and the triple. Just curious. | ||

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing today Punkid888. I was thinking of just putting duct tape around the contact points. Kinda cheesey but it should work. | ||

Did anyone else with the T-rex stand get a pin that fit the triple stem? I got 5 of them and only one of the seams to work although it’s pretty loose still does the job though. I have a cityX so I can do it without removing the front fender. One trick is to grab the handlebars and lift up before setting the front stand up. This might give you an extra half-inch with the suspension at max height, not sagged. I am thinking for those rear hooks a piece of 5/16 rubber hose, about 6inchs long then slice it down its length. And then slip it over the hook. I would be nervous that the duck tape will eventually wear off. | ||

My r is stock suspension wise. I raise the rear end just by lifting under the swingarm. It feels very stable when it is raised. Time2Run Neil S. | ||

I believe the front suspension settings make a difference. Mine slips in. I do put a rag on the fender to avoid scratches. I also lift the front then the back.  | ||

Just a note -- always have someone steady the bike when lifting the front and then the rear! |
