http://www.autorama.com/casi/milwaukee.htm This might be a show some of you guys have seen in your area. It has been in mine for 35 years plus. I entered the bike this year. I actually got lotted against custom HD's. Meaning any stock framed HD other then bagger model's. There was metrics there also. I didn't think it was right but nothing I could do about it. I thought I was a goner. I even said to the hired judge..."Why not just show Corvettes with Street Rods"?? He Said "Nothing I can do,its organized by ISCA". The show was wrapping up and Sunday the awards were presented. I wasn't there but my friend and painter of my bike was handling my bike because he had 3 other bikes entered. I was with my Daughter. Took her to her first concert,Hannah Montana. Anyways He called me and told me "Last Laugh" had won and took 1st place. Wow!!! I beat the HD's and there was some nice bikes. I guess the judge said that the Buell was a fresh look and to bad more aren't seen. Got a real nice plack out of it. Kinda made my day. Beating the HD's made it sweet.

Bads1, Looked at pictures of your bike lots over the last couple of months. Great looking bike. You are right about Badweb folks being the best. I was at the January bike show with my Buell hat on and was stopped by three guys I had never met before. They were also Buell owners and members of the Badweb. There must have been a thousand guys there with Harley hats and I sure didn't see them stopping and talking to complete strangers. I am blown away by the friendliness and willingness to help that is shown by all on this site. I plan to own my Buell until I am too old to swing my leg over the seat. Great bike Bads1 and congrats ! |

Thanks everybody!!! The bike has been alot of fun to do. Blake must of heard I was thinking of selling... we'll see. Corperatemonkey, Next show is probably going to be the Chicago Super Cycle show in March. It'll be shown with a very radical SV650 3D scorpion themed paint job. Ron, I wish the 240 was on there. It can still happen. Blake just for you.

Why thank you John. Taking my Daughter to that was worth more to me then the show win. That was one of her X-mas presents from the wife and I. Next will be my son's concert... Van Halen. Now I'm excited about that one. |

Hannah Montana was a hit in the Milwaukee area . . . I spoke to Dave G's daughter the morning of the show and she'd had friends over and the excitement was dialed to MAX. I'm not even sure who she is . . . is she the daughter of the guy who discovered the state? |

And taking the daughter to see her fav band while your bike was out having a blast.....er I mean lightning. whatta dad. |
