Does anyone know, dealers, if the Air Box Cover - Kick Ash (M1224.3AJMCD)that is listed on the Buell site for the 1125r and Lightning will work on my 04 XB12R? Oh, please.... |

Oh, yeah. Forgot to mention, the newer ones have the mesh air intake above the fuel cap for the open air box. You can mod your box if you want, but it will still fit either way. |

The X only comes on the Air box. I don't think you can get it by itself by other post here about it. |

Trust me, the "X" is only available if you buy the whole airbox cover. I've tried to get one myself and have had two dealerships (including both Dave and Andy @ Appleton) tell me I'd have to buy an airbox cover to get one. There is a part number listed in the XB parts catalog, but they won't sell it separately. I think that's a shame too. They'd probably sell a lot of them if they'd fix their little red tape issue surrounding this part. Just keep an eye out for a used CityX airbox cover on ebay or Craig's List and take it off. A hairdryer should do the trick nicely. |
