OK, it looks like I've got the Buell bug, so I'm looking for recommendations on which flavor. I initially liked the XB12scg, but I am looking at used XB's. Any year/model recommendations? Price ranges? -thanks! |

All are great bikes. The later the model the more $ and more refinements from the factory. The biggest milestone for me is: 06 and later got the new tranny and oil pump gear. 08's got new DDFI and oiling system. |

demo, demo, demo, you will find your favorite. Welcome to Buell. There is a great field of choice for you, get the one that is the most comfortable for you and suits the type of riding you do most of the time. We look forward to seeing you on the road soon, keep us posted. I am partial to the CityX and XB12Stt ;) |

I wouldn't worry about the older XB's as long as they aren't high mileage. You can change the oil pump gear to the bronze and you WILL have to update the belt and pulleys if it's an older model (can't recall years when they changed to newer belt style) |

just keep you eye out every where, ebay craigslist etc - i scored my 03 xb9 for $2800 - sure it had 9000 miles and the guy before me dropped it in a parking lot, but it was all cosmetic, and paint is easy - i think you'll be happy as long as it's a Buell |

04's and newer have the new style belt...Got my 04 xb12s in October for $4350 it only had 3,700 mile and the race kit already installed. So yes search around there are definitely deals to be found. (Message edited by Northernyankee on January 13, 2008) |

I have an 03 XB9S, And could NOT be happier! so if 2003 was there crap year, I can only imagine the newer stuff. It has to all be GREAT!!!! But prepare yourself, once that bug is deep into your skin, Buell is the only thing you will ever call a "real" bike!!! |
